The paint was still drying and I wanted to go to sleep. . . so this is Thursday's, but it wasn't posted until Friday.

I bought persimmons - I have no idea what they taste like, but I remember my favorite painting from an Asian art history class called, Five Persimmons, at least I think it was five. My mind's eye remembers five all in a row, I'm googling it but can't find reference to it.
Other news; I hung my work at White Magdelena House in preparation for Sunday's Hingham Arts Walk - it's rain or shine - 60 South Street, Hingham, MA

Painting just a little bigger today. . . this one is 12" x 12" -
I can't say the idea was all mine - thank you for the suggestion, L.

Painted outside today and the wind was, well, the wind was windy!!! The painting took flight, it landed on my back, and I was sure I'd have a monoprint on my jacket - I found myself fantasizing about being at home, fluffy dog at feet, one non-changing, constant light source. . . but it was Thursday and it's the painting group day and I was encouraged to stay and try again. . . and I'm glad I did! Now I'm going to go paint some fruit!

Other news: I saw Steve Martin perform last night in his banjo band - I didn't know what to expect, but it was really great - the band made it look so effortless to be musicians. . .

It's fall, what can I say, a pumpkin seems only right.
Plus I grew this one with my very own paws.

The painting group I love is back in session - yesterday, we did paintings with a Carol Marine lesson in mind - several quick ten minute studies - okay, maybe I spent eleven or twelve minutes on these two, but you get the idea - I did five in all - I'm posting these two a day late because I wasn't sure if I would post them at all. I did a fresh painting this morning, so not to fear, I'm not cheating, I'm not taking the day off - I'm still painting each day.

Other news: I'm happily putting my work in frames for the Hingham Arts Walk, I had custom frames made from reclaimed barn wood. If these frames could talk!
